Life of a Teenage Girl: Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Damn, it's Thomas Smith, my crush since forever. He looks my way and flashes me one of his smiles and goes back talking to Dean Anderson. I look back at Miley and she gives me that really annoying I-knew-you-like-him look.
“Smith again?” asked Chloe as she came out of the English classroom and we walk towards the cafeteria for lunch. “Come off it Chlo,” I muttered under my breath. “Ooh, someones feisty,” said a voice I only knew too well. I spun around and looked into her blue eyes. “Daphne,” I gritted my teeth together.
“Oh, what's itty bitty little Emmy gonna do?” she sneered. “Stop making fun of Emily, you lying, cheating, overgrown psychopath!” Miley said angrily. “What's all this commotion?” asked Mark, a friend that's kind of like a big brother I never had. “Oh, I didn't know lil' Markie was here. C'mon girls,” she said and sashayed off with Nicole and Layla. I just hate it when she does that.
“Hey Emily, you okay? Listen, don't let Daphne get to you. She's just a lying damn rich psychopath,” said Mark with a small chuckle. “Care to eat with me at lunch?” “Sure, as long as you stay away from our pudding, Mark,” I said, laughing. “No promises.”

I grabbed a lunch tray and headed over to table 16, the table we're meeting at. As we all sat down, Thomas came over to the table beside ours and took the seat right next to me. I couldn't help but blush. Luckily, no one but him notices, mainly because Chloe was droning on and on about how hot Draco Malfoy is and that she'd love to go to Hogwarts this September.
“Hey,” he says softly, so only I could hear. “Hi Tom,” I muttered under my breath. I could feel my cheeks going red. He goes back to his salad and we don't utter another word during lunch. “-and he's like, so hot it's insane.” Oh well, that's Chloe Grace for you.
I took a sip of my chocolate milk.

“Bye guys, see you tomorrow.” I waved at Chloe, Mark and Miley from my bus. They waved back and I took out my MP3 to listen to songs. ‘Behind Those Hazel Eyes’ by Kelly Clarkson when I reached my stop. “Thanks, Dan,” I say to the bus driver. “Anytime,” he replies with his warm smile.
Inside, I could hear Adam and Amanda playing Just Dance 2018 and dancing along to ‘Drag Me Down’ by One Direction. I set down my backpack and went to grab a Granola bar. “Hey Em,” says Adam, doing a complicated move. “Hi Adam, Amanda,” I said as I crunched my way down the bar. “Hey, hey, hey, lil’ Emmy, how're you?” asked Amanda. “Fine.”
This is why I hate them doing stuff together: It's always “Lil’ Emmy” or “Emeeeeeliiiy” for me. And Adam also takes his shirt off to show his abs, which, by the way, I think is gross. If this is what it's going to be like if I get a boyfriend (yeah right), I would totally just rather crawl into a deep hole until the end of time.
