I tried to push Scorpion away. No such luck. Vampires are pretty strong, so if you, dear reader, ever happen to read this, stay away from vampires (no offence). “Scorpion!” said a short haired girl behind me. “Scorpion, Dad'll kill you if he ever finds out.” He pulled away and said, “Go away Cassandra.”
“Scorpion, I'm your sister, I care about you. Are you okay?” Cassandra asked me. “How long did he suck your blood?” “Mare, don't listen to her,” said Scorpion. “You know what's good for you, um...” “Nightmare, messenger of Transilvania,” I said. “How long did you suck her blood, Scor?” “Why don't you just go back inside like a good wittle wampire and not tell daddy anything?” Scorpion said as if Cassandra was a child.
“Don't you use that tone with me, Scorpion,” said Cassandra. “It's illegal for you to do that. You do realise you were raping her, right? She is not a prostitute.” “How would you know?” She whipped out her cell phone and showed him a video. “I'll show this to Dad,” said Cassandra.
“Nightmare, how long did he suck your blood?” “Um... About two hours and a quarter,” I replied. “Two hours and a quarter! That's longer than I anticipated, you had better not have a baby in her stomach right now, Scorpion.” “What if I do?” “Oh, you wouldn't wanna know,” she said and walked off.
“Were you really trying to rape me?” “Mare, please,” he said. “Don't you call me that! You... You liar!” “Nightmare, give me a chance and hear me out, I was--”
“SHUT UP!” I yelled and ran away. I just couldn't believe I actually fell for a vampire. And not just any Voroy, the Prince of Vampires. Oh, what luck! If I really do have a vampire in my stomach right now, Lightning is going to kill me.
I rushed back into the banquet hall. A vampire rushed to me, “Have you seen Prince Black at all?” “I have, but I--” “There he is!” she squealed and pointed behind me. A bat swooped in and morphed back into his usual form. Scorpion. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me outside. “Wait!” she called after Scorpion. “The prisoner has escaped!” My heart felt as if it had learnt to breathe again.
Lightning did save himself. Scorpion still wouldn't let go, but he called back, “What?” Scorpion seemed very surprised. Cassandra came out of nowhere. “He escaped when you were with Nightmare in the in the castle yards. I told you something bad would happen, and now it did. Seems like my divination classes weren't all that useless after all.”
He let go of me.
